WELCOME
Cybersecurity Awareness Month is an annual, collaborative effort between government and industry to ensure every person has the resources to safely manage their online activity both at work and at home. This October, National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) and CISA will focus on the people part of cybersecurity by providing information and resources to help individuals make smart decisions on the job, at home and/or at school. CISA’s 2022 theme for Cybersecurity Awareness Month is “See Yourself in Cyber”; while National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) will be focusing on four key behaviors instead of weekly themes for CAM: Cybersecurity Starts with You, Enabling multi-factor authentication, Using strong passwords and a password manager, Updating software, and Recognizing and Reporting phishing.
The HHS OCIO successfully collaborates with DHS CISA, NCSA and other Government entities to support the Stop. Think. Connect annual Cybersecurity Awareness initiatives by focusing on the same theme and behaviors throughout the month of October. OCIO is collaborating with HHS OpDivs, HC3, 405(d), CSIRC, and Federal Business Council (FBC) to host a variety of cybersecurity awareness topics during the virtual HHS Cybersecurity Awareness event on October 26th.
